Finding out the take-off distance of an airplane is done by integrating the thrust and the drag (which vary with speed)–although it is essentially done with step-by-step integration, even if I found a way to do it algebraically (but since no one seems interested…)
Stability and control transfer and coupling functions require calculus; and computational fluid dynamics implies solving Navier-Stokes equations; again heavy with calculus.
